Terms of Service

Last updated: October 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of the RouteSense website and dashboard. If you use RouteSense through a customer agreement signed by your organisation, that agreement takes precedence where the two differ.

1. Agreement

By accessing routesense.ai, signing in to the RouteSense dashboard, or using any RouteSense product (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it, and "you" means that organisation.

2. The Service

RouteSense provides payments intelligence: routing analysis (Pathfinder), merchant account health monitoring and alerts (Sentinel) and account scoring (MIDAS). The Service analyses transaction, dispute and account data that you connect and presents findings, recommendations and alerts. You remain responsible for decisions you take about your payment operations, gateways, processors and acquirers.

3. Accounts and access

  • Accounts are created by RouteSense or by an administrator on your organisation's account. Keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account and for the users your administrators invite.
  • We may suspend access to protect the Service, other customers or the public, and will tell you why where the law allows.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service in breach of law, card network rules or your agreements with processors and acquirers;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other customers' data or the systems that run it;
  • probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
  • copy, resell, sublicense or build a competing product from the Service or its output;
  • upload malicious code or interfere with the Service's operation;
  • enrol a phone number, email address or Slack workspace in alerts without the authority of the person or organisation that controls it.

5. Customer data

You own the data you connect to the Service. You grant RouteSense the right to host, process and display it to provide and improve the Service, and to produce aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not identify you or any cardholder. You confirm that you have the rights and consents needed to share that data with us, including from your processors and acquirers. We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. SMS alerts program

RouteSense Sentinel can send account alerts by SMS to a mobile number that a dashboard user enrols. By enrolling a number you agree to the following program terms.

Program
RouteSense Sentinel alerts: notifications about the health of your merchant accounts, such as suspected card testing, approval-rate drops, dispute and fraud ratio warnings and volume limits, plus verification codes and test messages you request.
Enrolment
Enter your mobile number under "Where alerts go" in the dashboard, tick the consent box, save, and confirm the one-time code we text you. Only verified numbers receive alerts. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Frequency
Message frequency varies with the activity on your accounts and the alert rules you turn on.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details of your plan.
Opt out
Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one confirmation text and no further messages. You can also remove the number in the dashboard. To re-enrol, add and verify the number again.
Help
Reply HELP to any message, or email help@routesense.ai.
Carriers
Supported on major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Mobile numbers and opt-in consent are used only to deliver this program and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.

You must be the authorised user of the number you enrol. If a number is reassigned, or you no longer wish to receive alerts on it, remove it in the dashboard or reply STOP. The enrolment flow is described at routesense.ai/sms-alerts.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, models, designs, documentation and trademarks, belongs to RouteSense and its licensors. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you. Feedback you give us may be used without obligation to you.

8. Disclaimers

Alerts, scores and recommendations are informational. They depend on the completeness and timeliness of the data connected to the Service and on third-party systems that RouteSense does not control, and they can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. They are not a guarantee that a problem will be detected or prevented, and they do not replace your own monitoring, controls or compliance obligations to card networks, processors and acquirers.

Except as expressly set out in a signed customer agreement, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RouteSense will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost revenue, profits, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service, including fines, assessments or account closures imposed by card networks, processors or acquirers. RouteSense's total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period will not exceed the amount you paid RouteSense for the Service in that period, or one hundred US dollars if you have paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if your organisation's customer agreement ends. On termination your right to use the Service stops, and sections 5 and 7 to 12 survive.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is material we will notify account holders by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

12. Contact
